A vibrant and color filled home was exactly what these clients wanted.
Before, the white walls and wood trim were bland and tract-home feeling, and the space did not reflect the owners’ personality.
By adding a rich coral color to the walls and painting the trim white, the space was given a new life. A blue floral rug was added to create an inviting conversation area, while bringing texture and interest to the room.
The dining room was also given a face lift, by painting the back of the dated oak cabinet, and bringing back the cut-out where the oddly placed doors once were. The old blue light fixture was replaced with farmhouse inspired copper pendants that add a rustic, yet still modern touch that tie both the new and old elements of the room together.
Before, this empty space was just an unused catch-all area. But with the addition of a sunny yellow coat of paint to the walls, some white built in shelving, and a marble topped island, it became the perfect baking nook.
Small changes in the laundry room, such as bead board on the walls, and new marmoleum flooring gave the space a clean and bright feeling.
